Last updated: September 30, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Mark Neal ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit markneal.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us through our forms.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Speaking inquiries: name, organization, email address, phone number, event name, event date, city or location, approximate audience size, event type, and the message you write.
- General inquiries: name, church or organization, email address, phone number, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
Information collected automatically
When you submit a form we store your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the date and time of the submission. We keep this only as a record of consent and to protect the Site from automated abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.
We also use Google Analytics, which collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location. We use it only in aggregate to improve the Site. Details and how to opt out are in our Cookie Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your speaking or general inquiry.
- To send the "5 Minutes With Mark" newsletter when you ask for it.
- To keep a record that you consented to be contacted.
- To protect the Site against spam and abuse.
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Who We Share It With
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our email communications, such as our web hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and Google Analytics for site statistics. They may use the information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Email Communications and Your Right to Opt Out
Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address, as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing email promptly, and in any case within ten business days. We may still reply to an inquiry you sent us.

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them. We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites when you use the Site.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep inquiry messages for as long as they are useful for the conversation they started, and no longer than three years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period so that we can honor your opt-out.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls on our administration area and encrypted connections to the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute; we honor the same requests from everyone else as a matter of practice.

California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this Policy we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for at least 30 days.
